How do you see the world?
Everyone has a
personal set of beliefs and values that they use to make sense of the world. In
my opinion from the birth till our death, we go through unlimited experiences
in our life, these experiences start the moment we become conscious and start understanding
the difference between right and wrong. A general perception about life differs
from person to person .How people live their life specifies how they see the
world; however some people live their life for the sake of others, they live to
help the humanity and help the needy ones. We can take the example of Mother
Teresa, Abdul Sattar Edhi and who had made it their lives mission to help the
others. Every person has its own point of view, but what I believe is that a
person should not be bound to any social standard rather they should discover
the essence of the universe themselves.
I think a person
without principles or rules is nothing in this world, because principles are
the core part of any one’s life. For example if I trust someone and he/she is
breaking that trust then, I shall never trust that person again, so these are
the things which allow me to see the world with my perspective.
How I decided to believe in things, this
process started from the moment I started walking on my own, being a child it
was the first time I trusted my parents because I knew they will not let me
fall and they will be there for me if I fail. So I have observed that people
shape their beliefs according their perception and their knowledge about a
particular subject. With the passage of time and as a person I have experienced different events which have
changed my perception and thoughts, I
have experienced lots of things which made me realize that, I should be like
this and I should not be like this. We treat different people differently, because our understanding of each
one of them differs, and deciding on what we believe is totally based upon our own
observations through experiences, suppose if I observe that every morning the
sun rises and at the end of the day it
sets, likewise if someone tells me that if he or she add salt in the water and
it tastes salty, I will agree with that
person because that is what I have observed myself, therefore belief is the
reflection of one’s own observations and thoughts incorporated by others.
There are many
things that I have observed, in our society wealthy people or people with power
show the dominance over others. They treat them like common beasts of labor and
the concept of inequality and racism are the worst parts of it. I value those
things which are in the favor of humanity and condemn the act of inequality
which are happening around us. We are all human and we should be treated with
equality; sadly in our society men are dominant over women probably because of
their physical strength. In my opinion this is because women especially in
third world countries are not aware of their rights. These things can be overcome
through education and unfortunately we are not given basic facilities by the state,
which is responsible for providing quality education and health facilities or
the job opportunities equally for men and women both. And eventually when a women
get a job then again they to face the harsh reality of being harassed at the
workplace by their boss and colleagues. Some people have more recourses in the
form of money and power than their needs and some people have less than their
needs, why is that so?
We are living in
the era of technology where we are being facilitated by invention and
equipments unlike ever seen before but I think instead of using them for the
betterment of life, we are misusing them ; take an example of mobile which is
most useful device of the 21st century which has reduced the
physical activities of people, and has increased trend of the indoor gaming,
which not only affect healthy but the pattern of one’s life.
“World is a book
and those who do not travel read only one page” by (Augustine of Hippo), its
shows that if you bound yourself and stay at one place then you would know just
that particular place but if you travel the world (different places) then you
would experience various other cultures and mindset and different people who
perceive the world with the different perspective. The more you travel the more
you know about the world and its harsh realities.
I think we are
destroying the life of our future generation by polluting our environment for
the sake of giving ourselves the most comfortable life which is a very selfish
desire , from the emission of factory’ smoke to the pollution in the rivers we are doing our best to destroy
the future.
In conclusion, the
view of this world differs from person to person. I have the sense of right and
wrong and I look at the world through my own eyes. This world is a place of
endless opportunities and a place to enjoy. If you look at the world form my
eyes you will see a place of endless potential that is being destroyed by our
greed but, as every cloud has a silver lining, I believe in a positive future.
This world is all we have in this universe if we do not save it today it will
be too late to save ourselves tomorrow.
